Career development and skills growth is encouraged/nurtured for both management and technical/engineering streams depending where you want to go.
Whilst there are possibilities for promotion, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of opportunities for developing skills and abilities in my role.
Yes, Alcoa provides a very clear and mutually beneficial graduate program. It also looks to me like most Alcoa graduates get good opportunities to transition into full-time roles towards the end of the three year program.
As I am a graduate, I have been going up the ranks on a year-basis in the graduate program as planned (e. G. First year, second year, etc.) With the goal being that the company will have a full-time position for me at the end of my third year but that is not solidified as yet.
