Ascent offer a Professional Development fund of $5000/annum to be used on anything that will further your development as an engineer. In addition, Ascent also has a $1000/annum budget for any professional memberships. This is all in addition to the base salary. Flexibility tailored to individual circumstances is also something that Ascent provide and allow for where possible.
I am well compensated for my work at Ascent. In addition to my salary, I also gain an annual budget of $5000, and 5 days leave for professional development.
The pay is quite good for a junior role compared to other companies that I know of. I receive an annual professional development budget on top of a professional association membership budget.
