I believe that Aurecon has fostered a good culture and encourages socialisation between colleagues of the business. The business has put in effort into providing social events that gives everyone the chance to meet up with people from the other parts of the business that we wouldn't normally interact with.
I feel like the culture is great! Everyone is lovely and there are plenty of extra things to get involved with. The hot desking encourages mingling between the levels which I quite like.
A positive for the work culture is how willing senior engineers are to set aside time to teach valuable lessons in related to the discipline. A negative is that the team doesn't feel very interconnected socially, so there isn't much after hours engagement.
People are very kind and friendly and there is definitely a relaxed and diverse culture. I don't feel pressured, stressed or judged coming into work. There's plenty of after work drinks and team dinners to get to know people.
