As an apprentice, I am given the data collected/created by the Software Engineers to filter and analyse, allowing them to focus on heavier tasks. I also help in creating applications to allow for more data analysis/creation.
As a HR intern/administrator my days are always looking different but some tasks include general emails to stakeholders and suppliers, managing the early careers inbox, assisting the talent acquisition team in recruitment campaigns, generating slide packs of information for various projects, and other ad hoc tasks.
Given my workload and exposure, I feel lucky to be in the position Im in. My tasks have crossover with a lot of teams from Melb/Adelaide/UK so I have a lot of opportunity to network and learn a lot. My tasks require a lot thinking and working with multiple stakeholders to come to a solid solution as problems can be quite complex and advice/direction can be unclear most of the time. I only wish that I have more exposure/tasks related to electrical/mechanical systems design/integration/commissioning.
