super social workplace - always having internal launches, activities, learning weeks & trainings, developmental workshops, team lunches & outings
The workplace culture is extremely positive; there is no feeling of hierarchy among everyone, the leaders in our workplace are all approachable and more than willing to have a conversation. The teams I have been part of thus far have been great in cooperating and working well together, also providing tips and insights on a day-to-day basis for learning opportunities.
Overall I think the culture is great. I've not met anyone at L'Oreal who isn't great - again, it's a people first company and everyone has similar values at their core, while being diverse and having their own personalities. There's obviously a role hierarchy within teams, but within my experience, I've spoken to our GMs or worked with directors as a grad and only had positive experiences. There isn't a 'better than' attitude. I've had a director give up their desk for me because there wasn't enough space in the office on a certain occassion - everyone is super lovely. Between an MT role and a director's role, there's probably 3 - 4 roles in between, but it depends on the team. Some teams are small, some are really big, but it depends on the brand and resources needed. A lot of team members hang out outside of work, I know of colleagues that are married within the company, housemates, etc. Again it depends on the team and people but generally a very social business which is great for relationship building. I think HR is very pragmatic and I've not really heard of any situations that are serious or inappropriate.
The people at L'Oreal love people. It is a company for both extroverted and introverted people and you are sure to build strong professional relationships as well as build friendships beyond the workplace. The divisions often participate in events to build rapport and culture, so there are plenty of opportunities to fortify culture and build connections.
