My role is up to me, consisting of sales calls (either solo or with the team) and qualifying customers to ensure they are a fit for our company. Some days are busier than others, with plenty of opportunities to be a part of throughout the year.
I like quoting customers and finding solutions for people, i dont like operations as much, but maybe thats because im still learning it and i dont fully enjoy it yet.
My daily jobs are operational based and not very customer facing. It depends on personal preference as to whether this would be interesting to an individual. I gravitate towards customer facing positions and know there is room to grow and move to those areas of this business in the future. All team members must start in operations to have a foundational knowledge in the business operations of Mainfreight.
I get given important tasks and over time my role has become more and more important within the business.
