Most of the managers I've had provide guidance and support without micro-managing.
Management is approachable and supportive of career growth as well as technical help.
Managers are really friendly and show genuine care towards employees of all levels, whether superintendents or graduates. Managers are generally quite busy so they do not have time to spend with every employee which means you cannot rely on them to be a good mentor. Regardless, they always listen to and check on any concerns you may have.
We've recently welcomed a new Director to our team, who has already shown great accessibility and approachability. It's been encouraging to see how open they are to sharing knowledge, and I believe they have strong potential to be a valuable mentor moving forward. They also approach praise and recognition in a really positive way—my efforts have been regularly acknowledged, which has made me feel supported and appreciated in my role.
