The culture is the main reason I decided to join. Everyone here is friendly and approachable which I think is important especially as a Graduate. There's also a lot of events throughout the year which allow me to meet people from other divisions.
Everyone is extremely friendly and quite welcoming to newcomers at Nexia Sydney. The office really tries to encourage cooperation, team building and socializing amongst colleagues by establishing initiatives such as Nexia Night, End of Month Announcements, Celebration events such as Melbourne Cup, EOFY Party, Secret Santa, Christmas Party, etc. We also have a physical activity club that aims to encourage staff to keep active, and train with one another even.

The workplace culture is really welcoming and supportive, both in the office and after hours. In the office, the structure is clear, but the hierarchy doesn’t feel intimidating – partners and managers are approachable and always open to questions, which makes it easy to learn and grow. Teamwork is a big focus, and you often collaborate with colleagues across different levels, which creates a sense of shared responsibility rather than silos. After hours, there are plenty of social opportunities, from team lunches and firm-wide events to casual drinks or sports activities, which make it easy to build friendships outside of work. Overall, it feels like a professional environment that also values connection and balance.
The overall workplace culture is friendly and welcoming. There is a strong emphasis on learning and development, with encouragement to consistently upskill and invest in ourselves and the firm organises formal training throughout the year. The firm has a clear hierarchical structure, with Partners making most decisions, but they are very approachable and you get to work closely with managers at all levels. It’s also a very social environment, with plenty of paid events, and colleagues often spend time together outside of formal activities. The firm’s strategy focuses on growth, IT development and efficiency improvements (including AI) and staff development, with significant investment in these areas.
