My employer is very flexible regarding work hours as I can adjust my start and finish times at my own discretion. The main core hours I am required to work are 9.30 am - 3 pm. I also am able to work from home one - two days a week, at my discretion and approval of my supervisor.
There is a high level of flexibility in terms of both hours and working arrangements. It does come down to your specific team and their operating rhythm, but most roles are hybrid working (partly working from home but also coming into the office 1-3 days a week) and flexibility in work hours is easily negotiated with managers. All roles also have flex-time, meaning any work outside of contacted hours (35hrs a week) is accrued as extra time off which you can take within a 3 month period.
Very flexible. Slight changes with the Workplace Presence circular, but otherwise still flexible.
The NSW Government offers a great flexible working policy that provides a work-life balance for employees. In my role, I was able to start early and work late if I wanted to. Generally, I worked 9am-5pm with 30min-1hr break. However, the flexibility meant I could extend my lunch break and make up for hours the next day if I wanted to. Any extra time over 7 hours will be counted at flex, allowing for employees to take a half or full day of flex if enough hours were accrued.
