In terms of training and development, my experience has been mixed. While I was initially promised a mentor, I did not receive one. However, I took the initiative to learn from senior colleagues in other departments, which has been helpful in building my understanding of the broader business. My contract also stated that I would receive an English language course, but this has not been provided. There have been instances where I was assigned tasks outside my job scope, and since I lacked the necessary skills, I was expected to self-learn using online resources. While I appreciate the trust placed in me, this approach can be inefficient and draining, especially when it diverts focus from my core responsibilities. On a positive note, the company does offer a variety of non-technical training sessions, some of which are related to internal job functions. These have been valuable in helping me understand how different departments operate and how our work connects across the organization.
This role gave me continuous learning experience. There is no formal training programmes here but they gave me constant mentoring daily, most of it happens by case.
The company offers a lot of training, whether locally, regionally, or even trainings from HQ. Spanning from technical aspects as well as character development training.
