In my experience, my department is not very flexible compared to other departments when it comes to working hours or remote work. Unless there is an emergency or an urgent personal matter, we are generally expected to be physically present in the office—even though most of our tasks are desktop-based and could technically be done remotely. More recently, there has also been an increasing expectation to work overtime without additional compensation. There have been comparisons made to colleagues in China, who are said to be more willing to work after hours or on weekends if requested by their managers. However, I believe it’s important to recognize that work culture and expectations in Australia are different, and such comparisons can feel unfair and demotivating.
For my role there is no possibility for remote work at all since i need to be on site. But i can say its pretty flexible.
My current position offers a lot of flexibility, as long as the work is completed and goals are accomplished.
It is flexible as long as we work for 8 hours a day
Quite flexible with when you come and leave. Just make sure you could get all your job finished.
