The graduate program funded a BA course for me which was great.
Graduate program leads facilitate fantastic learning opportunities ranging from generic professional skills to specific role related training courses with external providers.
The training provided by the graduate program is excellent. The first 3 training sessions were all about working in the government and prepared me well for my new role. The training focuses on building soft skills - stakeholder engagement, presentation skills, as well as preparing for interviews and how to read job applications. The graduate program also offers additional training opportunities, in which I applied for some technical training and was successful.
The training and development opportunities are endless here at Queensland Health. From the communities of practice to the more formal training, to the Internal Development Program, and the mandatory professional development plan with your line managers, continuous growth is highly encouraged!
