My manager is a good mentor. He is super insightful and just is a fountain of knowledge. We haven't had a chance to discuss my performance with him yet.
Managers are accessible however some are better mentors than others. It depends how you operate and how you learn. Some managers can let things become too personal.

These are the best managers I have had at any job. They are all extremely supportive and available whenever I need something. They are willing to teach me things to help me improve. They give me recognition when I do good work, which is good because I like my hard work is recognized.
