Diversity and inclusion in the business is a key initiative which the business supports. When looking at the graduate program in particular, there is a very diverse range of graduates in the program. There is also a focus on encouraging women to go for leadership and highly specialized technical positions, as there is an underrepresentation in these areas. This is something that I really support, as joining the business as a young female, it can be disheartening when there are not people who are like you in these positions.
Some sites have a larger proportion of females, where are some sites I could be the only female on site. However, there is always a push to hire more females I do find it is 'harder' for females to be promoted due to parental leave There definitely needs to be a culture shift in that a female just got the job for targets
There is management and the GM to support recruitment and retention of diverse employees
Super diverse workforce
I work with team members all with broad backgrounds and life experiences. The mesh of cultures within the office has lead to very engaging conversations and a great workplace culture.
