As a Store Manager I am responsible for the health and efficiency of my store and staff, as well as serving customer wants and needs. E.g. confirming the safety and security of the store, managing staff, managing cleanliness, maintaining tidiness, teaching and training others, responding to emails and messages, actioning company directives, speaking with customers, replenishing stock, planning stock, visual merchandising, cash management, rostering, payroll, hiring.
Day to day is managing the store and my entire team. It is satisfactory to see the development in staff and be able to help them realised a long term career development in Uniqlo too.
We have our standard daily tasks + day specific + once off/irregular tasks that may happen once or twice a year so every day varies. As a store manager you are managing from inventory to staff development to general customer service to financial review and action, so the job description is quite wide.
