Studying full time university and working, I am mindful of living off only 2 working days pay a week. I have always had to juggle 2-3 jobs during semesters to keep financially stable. I do not receive a lot of benefits, only one free welcome lunch upon commencement of my role and enrolment in an excel training course
As I am a casual employee I do not receive any formal benefits on top of pay. A result of this is I have very flexible working hours to suit my circumstances with university, although obviously I am not paid if I don't work. I have received benefits in terms of company lunches and access to some external networking events paid for by the company.
Just grateful to be paid as an intern
The hourly rate is standard for the role. As an Intern, my role is casual and as such the hours can fluctuate with the work available. More stability in hours would be ideal but is very rare in this type of opportunity. Unusual Perks are not really applicable in this case.
