My day-to-day tasks change quite frequently. Some tasks include regularly reviewing company documents, data collation and manipulation, cost analysis and site inspections.
I like the work I get allocated especially the site work
When I am working full time over my break periods I am able to get meaningful work on projects. When I have this work I am engaged and really tested to deliver good and useful work which I enjoy. However, during the university semester it is borderline impossible to get the same level of engagement due to the time limitations placed on how much I can work. This is okay as I am still able to contribute in small ways. This is somewhat good as I get a little bit of experience on a bunch of different random things, but can be very difficult sometimes to actually get work that is consistent.
The tasks I am given to work on involve structural calculation that aid the design of water related structures (pipes, thrust blocks, steel structures, retaining walls, etc.)
The tasks That I have had the opportunity to work on have been mostly administrative in nature. Proofreading technical reports for grammar and formatting for example. I have recently gained an opportunity to assist with some project management tasks and look forward to the opportunity to assist with more technical aspects where appropriate.
