Not many social events after hours
Closer knit teams and actuaries in more direct contact are great. Somewhat distant and unrealistic upper management.
Day-to-day the staff are friendly and sociable but no set office days means it can often be quiet. When social activities are organized for staff, I find that everyone is much more willing to come into the office. There is no feeling of a strict hierarchy like I've felt at other workplaces- everyone talks to everyone.
The company culture is very inclusive and supportive. I am able to talk to any staff member about problems that arise, and they are always willing to help. My manager is very accommodating of my commitments outside of work. Our team is made up of 3 groups of 2. I work exclusively with a senior broker who I'm able to collaborate with and learn from.
